Tell Us About the Light
/Postcard Prompt: Take just 10 minutes (set a timer on your phone), and tell us about the light. Describe its color, its texture, its mood. The light this time of year - in both the northern and southern hemispheres - is shifting due to the seasons changing. Does this shift mirror something in yourself? Write about it. 10 minutes is all you need.
Word Prompts:

Person: Young hunter.

"The Desire of Darkness"
We planned to make
a chronicle of light.
Your hopeful face
in front of mine
mapping out
our universe.
I am nervous
like a first date
yet you know me so well
by now.
We share a bright kitchen,
an old floor
with many burns and bruises,
tiny crevices of caught time.
'The cracks are how
the light gets in'
is how one saying goes.
And all around was
darkness.
But do not forget the faith
of the fallow field.
Do not forget the desire
of despair:
it is light.
