Here’s Mine:
I am
Sea foam blue (but only right now),
a clean kitchen table,
I am a Yes, and
infuriatingly hopeful.
I am a big storm rattling the window panes,
a train whistle at midnight,
cold water and corduroy.
I am too shy,
not like a Betsy Ray
or a Crowded Table,
more like Emily in her Deep Valley.
I am one of three,
a golden mutt,
a piece of buttered toast.
I am the lake in summer,
for two whole weeks,
a little green truck who never gives up.
Thanks for reading.
